We hear the loud metallic noise during wash cycle even after we decrease the load size. That went on for a while and now it will not spin with clothes in it. I took the front cover and saw that the apron and the sides of the frame where the apron rests sags. Please help...

You need to straighten out the apron and install the front apron bracket service kit. Complain to GE. This is a known problem, thus the kit, and they should provide the kit to you free of charge. The kit has a new cover that locks into the new apron bracket so that the cover helps to support the tub suspension system rather than just the apron supporting it.
