Hello, dryer was stopping before cycle complete, think may have been caused by too many back to back loads or heavy loads. Recently dryer is not heating up. We have checked the following (heating element replaced, thermostat, hi-thermostat, cycling thermostat, thermal fuse, vent clear, breaker box) all seems to be good, so not sure what the issue is or what we may have missed. Any help is appreciated. Thx in advance!

Here are your parts Parts for Maytag NED4800VQ1 Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet First I would check the power. The motor and timer run off half the line (120 volts) but the heater requires the full 240 volts. Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!! |
