washer wasn't fully draining, so i pulled the pump out for clean up, found soap scum, and cotton arround the shaft. but after i reinstalled the pump it make a grinding noise when ever water is applyed. any ideas?

Hi.
Check the sump for foreign objects, check if you reinstalled everything correctly (the impeller), check if the noise is coming from the motor.
