Oven lights do not come on when oven door opened. The lights do come on when using the external switch under the back panel.
Question: Where is the door switch located?? Could you also give me directions on how to access the switch. thx.,

Is the model number you posted American or Canadian?

If it's American, I need you to verify and repost it.

Gene: This is a Canadian model as far as I know.. Interesting enough, after several days , the oven light just came on once when I opened the door of the oven.. I am suspecting a loose or burned connection but do not know how to access the oven switch to diagnose the problem..

Unfortunately I'm not able to look up a Canadian models.

The light switch could be a part of the door latch or it could be under a door hinge on side of the oven.

Gene: I am unable to determine the location of the switch that activates the oven lights when the oven door is open... I believe it must be by the hinge but have no idea how to get side panels off the stove.. it appears that you have to take the entire stove apart.. So until I get that figured out I will not be able to go any further with this problem.. Doug

Hi Doug,

I would recommend to follow the wires from the light socket.
