My maytag dryer will not shut off. Also the dial does turn but just goes around and around through each cycle without stopping. I replaced the timer a couple of months ago. Any thoughts? Thankyou in advance.

Hi.

Couple of questions:

Why did you replace the timer?
Does the dryer stops when the door is open and would it start right away when the door is closed with out pushind the start button?
