Older Kenmore washer, wash cycle OK, spin cycle not working, drains water OK. Checked clutch, OK; brake pads OK, motor coupler OK. Re-assembled after adding 90 oil to gear case, spin cycle OK without cloth in tub. Added a load to wash, wash cycle OK spin cycle did not work once again, you think is the gear assembly??

Hi.

First check the drive block (you will have to remove the agitator).
If it's not cut through then replace the clutch Part number: 285785
Part number: 285785

Post the results.

Simon.
