I went on the Kenmore parts site and looked at the diagram for my range model number and it shows a round ignitor with a # of WB13K0003 and on your site it shows a substitution of WB2X9154. So I ordered one.
I then dove into the oven to replace the part and the ignitor already in there is rectangle. From what I've read I can't replace rectangle with round. Also, the part directions say that the gas valve and the ignitor need to be compatiple as far as amperage draw. The ignitor is rated 2.5-3.0 amps, but when I looked on the side of the gas valve it show 3.2- 3.6 amps. My question is, can I replace the rectangle with round and does the difference in amp ratings really matter?

Hi.

You can't replace the flat ignitor with round one because as you said difference in the amps draw.
The ignitor you ordered is a broil not bake ignitor.

The correct part Part number: WB13K21
Part number: WB13K21

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!
I am trying to replace the broiler ignitor. The one in the parts diagram is round and the one in the oven is rectangle. Is the diagram wrong or did someone put the wrong part during a past repair. Can I put a round one in now?
Once again, thanks for your time!

HI.

This is the total mystery. The diagram is showing a round ignitors. You have to follow the gas valve specifications and put in the flat ignitor.
By the way - is the bake ignitor flat?

The bake ignitor is indeed rectangle.
Will the part that you showed me also work as a broiler ignitor?
Thanks,
Greg

Hi.

Yes, this flat ignitor should be just fine.
