I have the front covers off and watched it run with each different water level and it didnt leak as bad with a smaller water level. i am hoping it is just a seal but would like 2 no before i tear into it. any knowledge would b appreciated!:)

thank u very much gene it leaks way more the higher the water level i have itand it leaks from under the tub so it hits the transmission and spins it everywhere do u think it is worth repairing myself?

This job is not as simple as many other are and it requires a few special tool to buy. One of them, the break and bearing removal tool, is no longer available. You said that the washer is less than a year old. If this is correct than it's under warranty and Maytag should take care of it.

no it is a 2004, is it just a seal thats hard to get to? thanks gene
