Kitchenaid washer drains fine, but won't spin. Checked the coupler and it's just fine. Removed the cover from the gearcase and restored power to check things out. The spin gear appears to be turning just fine, so put cover back on gearcase but shaft does not turn. Any suggestions?
I was also off a little on the age of the machine. 10-15 years would be more accurate.

Would it spin if you will open and close the lid while the washer is draining? If it did, replace the timer. - The timer Part number: 3950736
