My whirlpool washing machine started shaking the last time I used it and now when I turn the knob to do a wash, nothing happens. It doesn't fill up with water or do anything. What do you think is the problem?

Hi.
Does it spin and drain if you manually set the timer?
If not make sure there is 120VAC at the wall outlet, check the power cord and connections.
Please post the results.
Simon.

Simon. When I turn the knob to start a wash and pull out the knob, nothing happens. It doesn't do anything. Could it be a problem with the timer?

Hi, Edie.
You didn't answer my question and didn't respond on the test I asked you to do. Please, lets take it step by step.
Simon.

Simon. I am not home now and will have to check when I get home. It doesn't do anything when I turn the knob and set it for a wash.
