Under-Cabinet Ice Maker Malfunctioning (i.e. not a refrigerator)

Unit stopped making ice. In the section on running the unit through its cleaning cycle, the user guide states, "After the cleaning cycle is complete....if cleaning solution drains from the water pan, you should run the clean cycle again." Does this imply the drain pan should be EMPTY after the cleaning cycle? And if the drain pan is not empty (as in, brimming full to overflow), does that tell me something about what part is malfunctioning?
I can find no information on the internet about these stand-alone ice makers. Everything seems to be about refrigerator ice makers. (I notice you don't even have a topic section for this type of appliance.)
