So I just purchased a new dishwasher yesterday and followed the instructions to a tee for set up. I also made sure to pay particular attention to the setup of the old one I was removing.

After I connected the water, drainage and direct wire and ground, I tried to start it up......nothing. I was not getting any power. The water was on, the hookups were correct (white/white, black/black, and Ground/Green Screw) but still I was getting nothing.

The old dishwasher did receive power, but essentially died, plus was very old and needed to be replaced. So I know the power works through the lines.

I did realize though, after the fact, that I did not shut off the breaker for the dishwasher power supply when I pulled the old one out and installed the new one. Dodge a shock or two I guess. I realized this after I checked to see if the breaker was tripped. It wasn't.

Can anyone shed any light on why a brand new out of the box dishwasher is not working?

Keep in mind:
Breaker is good.
Wires are connected correctly
Water is on and connected.
Drain is connected.
