The clean light is flashing (7 blinks per cycle). The owners manual suggests checking the heater circuit. How do I do this?

You have to have a simple multimeter. Let us know when you will be ready.

The heating circuit consists of three parts. They are: the heating element, the hi-limit thermostat (located under the tub on the left side) and the thermistor (located on the right side of the pump sump from under the dishwasher ). All three parts can be checked for continuity. The normal readings are: the heating element - between 10-30 Ohms, the hi-limit the thermostat - close to 0 Ohms and the thermistor - between 48-52K Ohms @ 77°F. If all of these parts are good, replace the control board. - The heating element Part number: W10134009
