Our fridge is approx 5 yrs old. Within the past few days when it is running it sounds as though the fan is vibrating.

We've taken the back off & vacummed out all the trash & dust bunnies. But the problem is still there.

It still cools & makes ice just fine. Just loud as &^%$ - wakes me up at night.

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for Whirlpool ED5PHEXRB00 REFRIGERATOR | AppliancePartsPros.com

First you have to find out which fan is making the racket.

If the evaporator/freezer fan (Item 7 in Section 1): check that there is not an ice build up on by the fan blade that is causing the noise. If none, then I would replace the fan.

If the condenser/compressor fan (Item 24 in Section 12): check that the fan blades are clean and not hitting anything. If OK I would replace the fan.

We took the back cover off - it is the fan that is on the right hand side toward rear of fridge.
