Washer keeps getting off balance and can usually reposition load but problem has gotten worse. Could the suspension springs have gotten weak and need to be replaced? i have check the level of the washer and all is good there?

Take off the cabinet and inspect the springs, and the pads and make certain the suspension plate is set correctly. Replacing the springs and pads is a good idea.
