I have replaced an electric control panel on this unit 2x in the past year. I need to know if there is a part I can order to replace the wiring/harness assembly that is located inside the door, runs from the base of the door to the control panel. The connection that feeds into the control panel (part ordered was #8564546) into the slot W-R is melted on the one side and this may be the cause of the panel shorting out.

The main wiring harness Part number: AP3178193
The other way to fix it is to cut off the bad wire terminal with burned part of the wire and install a new terminal. - The insulated terminals (pack of 15) Part number: AP3440459

Thanks Gene, don't know where or how you found that wiring harness part, as I looked and couldn't find it. I like your idea of just replacing the terminal, especially since I believe only the one wire is bad... could I just go to a Lowe's or electric supplies store to purchase a single termninal? What about the housing this bad terminal is encased in, which is partially melted, does that need to be replaced as well, and where would I find such a casing do you think? Really appreciate your help! Thanks again, Greg

Sorry for the delay. Is this terminal just a single terminal or it is a part of a plug? If it is a part of a plug then I'm afraid you have to buy the whole harness, cut the needed plug of it and splice it instead of the damaged one.
