My problem is the fridge is warm and the (top) freezer is somewhat OK --ice cream melts/refreezes. I want to remove the back panel to see if the coils are frozen-up but I guess the icemaker will need to be removed first. I see the two main mounting screws: do I just slip the icemaker off of those screws and lay it down while I remove the back panel for inspection? Thanks.

Answering my own question: I turned off the water supply to the fridge; turned off the power; then removed the three mounting screws (two on top, one on the bottom of the icemaker) and it came out without a problem. Was able to disconnect the electrical plug without a problem also.
