Ice maker isn't making much (if any) ice. Water is getting to input point at back top of fridge w/o problem, but is not entering (thus back drip from where water tube reaches input point, when ice maker runs or tries to run) well. Worth repairing / replacing the ice maker, or easier fix, or ???
Thanks.

The first thing I would check is the water feeding tube (coming into the ice maker) for a frost built up inside. You can use a hair dryer to defrost it.
If it happened, then the water inlet valve (on the back of the fridge) has to be replaced.
To help you with the right part number I need the complete model number of the fridge. The number you posted is a serial number.
Gene.

Thank you Gene. Model # is TZI21RW (Amana). Haven't had a chance to have a look, but what you're mentioning makes complete sense. Water seems to reach the fridge entry point just fine, but then hits a block. If this is it, will replacement of part be relatively painless?

This part is not too difficult to replace yourself. - The part number for the water inlet valve is AP169577 Here are the break down diagrams for the Amana refrigerator Model TZI21RWGood luck. Gene.
