Water is getting to input point at back top of fridge w/o problem, but is not entering (thus back drip from where water tube reaches input point, when ice maker runs or tries to run) well. Worth repairing / replacing the ice maker, or easier fix, or ??? Thanks.

You can use a hair dryer to defrost it. If it happened, then the water inlet valve (on the back of the fridge) has to be replaced. To help you with the right part number I need the complete model number of the fridge. The number you posted is a serial number. Gene.

Water seems to reach the fridge entry point just fine, but then hits a block. If this is it, will replacement of part be relatively painless? John
