Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 5/6/2012(UTC) Posts: 2		I have a 2 1/2 half year old Spacesaver Microwave which has "locked up" The display does not say locked up but that is the case. I have removed power and then restored with the plug many times with no improvement. The display shows I should set the clock which is the first thing that shows on the display after power is restored. However, no touch pad buttons do anything. The display just shows I need to enter the time but the microwave does not take commands from the LCD keypad buttons. Any suggestions?

I removed the keypad from the unit (very easy) and warmed it with a hair drier on medium setting for about 5 minutes. I then reinstalled the keypad, and VOILA, it works! Sure saves having to spend about $450 for a new keypad assembly.
