Hello. In need of some help/info. for my Kenmore oven. 2 days ago I used the self cleaning option on the oven. After the cleaning was done and the unit cooled off, the oven door will not open. It arrears the door latch switch or motor may have malfunctioned. The 4 digit failure code is F5, and the 3 digit code is E1. According to the tech sheet, the door latch is not operating. If the door switch needs to be replaced, how do I get the door open and the glass top off to do so. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

In order to provide most accurate advice we need the complete model number of the oven. If this a freestanding range then check behind the bottom drawer.

You have to pull the range out of the wall and remove the rear panel in order to access the door latch mechanism and unlatch the door. Check the door latch switch and motor as described in the Tech sheet. - The door latch assembly Part number: AP3968900
If there is nothing wrong with the door latch then the control board can be bad. - The control board Part number: AP3174668
