My dryer stopped working. The first symptom was that the display would only respond when pushing a certain button such as heavy duty. The dryer wouldn't work. I would unplug the dryer for a few hours and then all the buttons were responsive and it would work fine for a few loads.
Now the display doesn't work and the dryer doesn't come on. I used the trouble shooting guide that came with the dryer and tested all the items I could. I tested the display board by checking for continuity and they all worked correctly. I verified that I had power at the control board. I tested the door switch and all the fuses. The guide told me that it was the control board. I ordered the part installed it:confused: and still have the same problem of nothing happening, no display either. I retested everything again and all the other circuits are fine. I asked to have a another board shipped and should have it next week.
Now my question, what else could be wrong? I am hoping that the board that was sent to me was defective in some way but have no way to check it. If I get the new board and still have the same issues what is my next step?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you have power getting to the board and the board does not function then it would certainly seem like they sent you a defective board.
The interface could be the problem, but it is included with the board, so that is not an issue.
Let us know what happens after you install the replacement board. When you do so check each contact on the cable and make sure you are getting full contact with the board, because that is the only other thing I can think of at this time, (or probably any other time either)
