I know this subject has been discussed before, however is there a solution for an oven, approx two years old where the hinges have been replaced twice and the door has never stayed closed?

I am about to purchase my third set of hinges and the plan is to somehow make the springs stronger before putting them in.

Can anyone offer an alternative to fix this problem?

Thanks

You can find an explanation, cause and solution on this problem in the Maytag Technical bulletin. If you need the correct part number for the kit then post the serial number of the oven.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for JENN-AIR JMW9530DAS | AppliancePartsPros.com

Thanks for the reply. I would like the correct part number for the repair kit. The serial number is 20877861GX.

You need two hinges Part number: AP4101029
Part number: AP4101029

and two hinge receptacles Part number: AP4100063
Part number: AP4100063

If you just replaced the hinges with the above part number then you probably need just the receptacles.

Thanks Gene. Will purchase the hinge and receptacles. I guess I have to pull the oven out to replace the receptacles
