:D Our water dispenser has always been sooo slow but is now down to a drip. Our ice maker has quit. We used your great blog for troubleshooting & found that our emitter/sensor is working properly (we thought that was the culprit). We changed the water filter & got some ice for about 4 days..now nothing. Water is not flowing into the ice maker reservoir & the water on the door takes 5 min to fill a 6oz cup. Can we access the water line to both & run something through it to check for blockage? Any other ideas on what the problem might be??

We would probably have to stand in front of the water dispenser for about 4 hrs to get 2-3 gals. When the activator os pushed in by the cup, it spurts a quick stream and then slows to a drip thereafter. Yes, we have checked the water pressure & for kinks in the tubing..both are fine. The water dispenser issue has been a problem for quite a while, but the no ice issue is new. Can we somehow run something through the tubing to check for blockage? As I said earlier, the emitter/sensor seems to be working, but no water is flowing into the ice maker reservoir. We have already replaced the ice maker once with a Whirlpool repair person ($500.00 cost) since we've owned it (2005) and decided to see if we can troubleshoot this 1st ourselves after reading your blog, since that cost is quite prohibitive. Any ideas??
