Guys I am an inexperienced repair guy looking for advice. The Kenmore died. There are no lights (no even on the switch for exterior moisture versus energy saver), no fan, no compressor.

I took my multimeter and I get voltage going into the first relay (that is what I am calling the coupler with the pins) that connects to the wall.

I get voltage on the ice maker. The relay that comes from the wall goes into black relay box where all the other connectors plug into. I assume the one from the wall which is hot is supposed to plug into this box which then powers everything else?

Well when I plug in the hot relay from the wall nothing else gets power.

I put direct power to the fan leads and it worked.

I am not sure what this box even does but is that the problem?

I am looking at maybe thermostat or auto defrost issue but if it was those shouldn't I at least have lights?

Any advice is appreciated.
