My dryer has been heating up off and on through any off the cycles. The timer appears to be working fine. Any ideas?

I have checked the following:
1. Thermal fuse 2. Cycling thermostat 3. Igniter 4. Flame sensor
All of them are closed.
I checked both gas valve coils and the one with three terminals is giving me an open reading across two terminals.
Do I simply replace the the one gas valve coil or should I replace both of them?
Thanks.

It's better to replace both coils for two reasons: 1. It makes the repair more reliable 2. You will save $$$ - The coil kit Part number: AP3094251
