Spin cycle to slow in all wash/spin speed selections. Tub empties ok but at end of cycle cloths are still wet enough to ring a bit of water. At the end of the cycle I can not here the normal brake action. I have changed the belt. Turning the pully clockwise oscilates the agitator and turning the pully counter clockwise the pully turns. I have also changed the Wash/spin speed switch. If the problem may be the Brake can it be adjusted, If so how.

I have checke all the possible things ,kinked hose ,tub seal, etc:confused:

the clothes is still wet because the basket is not spinning fast enough. do this put it in spin mode for say 4 minutes. stop the washer if the brake stator is hot u got a bad pulley. replace the pulley since it is not pushing the spring brake rotor far enough to allow free basket drive rotation.

I would shine a light in the spin basket to look for something stuck in the tub.
If ok, you might have bad spin bearings, pull front cover and check.

nothing stuck in tub. I pulled front panel all I see is the motor, pump and Agitator shaft which is a sealed unit which must be connected to the main pully. Nothing smoking or hot on unit.

Turn the tranny pulley in the spin direction. If the tranny will not spin, you need a new pulley with thrust washers.

If you see white shavings under the washer, you have a bad snubber. Post results.

UPDATE: Problem solved. Transmission replaced now works fine.Washer less than three years old and only had 1yr warranty. I was lucky Maytag sold me the transmission for 50% off. Thanks for you help. I will add that it is a costly repair parts and labor. A new transmission $144.00 shipping and handling/labor $150/service charge$65.00:mad: :)
