Not making ice. Ran a cleaning cycle with approved cleaner. Maker sounds like a grunting noise. I have to turn it off then press clean cycle but then turn it back on to get it to start back up. Now the water is not shutting off and causing it to overrun the resivour. After the cleaning solution cycle I did last week it ran fine.

How cold on touch is the evaporator?

Clean the condenser and make sure the fan motor works fine.

Post the results.

Gene,
It's currently making ice. But thats what's curious. On occassion it stops cycling water then starts that grunting noise. With it making ice now would this eliminate the evap showing bad. is there something else not telling it to cycle water to the evap?
