I have a GE Dryer Model # DWSR485EA1WW. The end of cycle buzzer is variable and will not sound. Can you test the buzzer itself to see if it works? All wiring is connected correctly. Could something else be causing the problem? The dryer works fine other than this. I would like to know if the buzzer is bad before spending the money to replace it.
Thanks, Keith418

Well, can't say I have ever done it,(I just have always replaced the buzzer and that has done the trick, or left the machine alone, the buzzer is an annoying little device) but I see no reason why you cannot take off the back cover, disconnect the buzzer and put your meter (you will need aligator clips on the leads) on the leads on the buzzer and see if on off you have an open circuit and if you get continuity as you turn the variable dial.
Good luck, let us know what you find out.
