My Kenmore electric dryer quit during the cycle, repush the button and it starts but srops when you let go of the start button. Hold the button down or prop somthing against the button and it runs the cycle. Ordered a new button switch and put it in and it does the same thing. Dryer runs just fine and cycles as long as button is pused in. Could the new button be faulty or is there something else wrong. Thanks

I couldn't find a match to the model number you posted; But the problem you describe suggests the start button is good. There is a relay that is bad. It is either a separate part, inside the console, or it is on a circuit board, also inside the console. If it is on a board, the entire board needs to be replaced.
