Turn knob to any position and timer motor has 120V on it. pushing start button does not start dryer. Timer shaft wobbles a little. Before this "no start" ptoblem I had to push the start button a few times to get it to start.

Then carefully plug in the machine and see if it starts. If it does, try replacing the start switch. If it still does not start the motor is probably going bad. DO NOT EVER OPERATE THIS MACHINE IN THIS MANNER, THIS IS FOR DIAGNOSIS ONLY. If it will not start, the motor is likely going bad.
