door switch and thermal fuse are OK. With timer knob in off position timer motor has no power. Turn knob to any position and timer motor has 120V on it. pushing start button does not start dryer. Timer shaft wobbles a little. Before this "no start" ptoblem I had to push the start button a few times to get it to start.

Unplug the machine and take off the wires from the start switch and tape them together. Then carefully plug in the machine and see if it starts. If it does, try replacing the start switch. If it still does not start the motor is probably going bad. DO NOT EVER OPERATE THIS MACHINE IN THIS MANNER, THIS IS FOR DIAGNOSIS ONLY.
If it will not start, the motor is likely going bad.
