Gene. Because I didn't get any attachments, so I don't know how to run in diagnostic . Can you e-mail them to me ? Update on what's happening. Freezer has frost on the back panel and you can see frost inside via the slots on the back wall. It all went away when the power was out (3 hrs worth) but when it came back on it is starting to frost up again. I can feel air coming into the refrigerator side now and it cool again. The lights that show the temp settings in the frig blink sometimes but don't stay on and will not let one set them to the proper setting. Why ? is there any book one can buy about fixing one's refrigerator/freezer unit. For what I paid for this unit ($4,700) il I would expect it should last longer than 8 years. My last cheap one lasted 28 years with no repairs. I've done the maintenance that was in the manual that came with 2x a year. Yes, I'm frustrated and am trying to do what you ask, but when the print is too small to read and attachments don't come across it's frustrating I also have other things I need to do too. I'm trying my best as I can't afford to call a repair person right now. Thanks !

Hi Wendy,
The fan is located inside the freezer. You should hear it's noise and feel the air flow as soon as you open the freezer door. This fan should be On as long as the compressor is On.
Check if it's working properly and post it.
Gene.

Gene. No I didn't see the attachments o 6-8-2012 reply. What I did see was the reply of someone else concerning their Frigidare brand problem. Excuse please if this is a repeat but I can't find the original so I'm assuming that it didn't send. Update: Freezer is now frosted on the back panel, Frig is somewhat cold and the beep and aoying high spitched tone is continuing. The lights at the top that tell you what the setting are, blink and go off. Don't know what to tell you.

Hi Gene, Yes the fan is running. I notice there is slight frost now on back panel and top of freezer. also, there is condensation happening in the fridge. Water is forming on the top of the fridge and then falling to form a puddle on the bottom. Again, can you locate the diagram for my fridge? Thanks, Wendy

I got started on part of the direction but need to finish tomorrow when I can get my son to bring the ladder in so I can see if those items are working that are located on top of the unit.
