everything functions, except that it does not pump water into the tub. i checked the float switch, moved it up and down, seems to move fine. i put water in it manually and ran it and seemed to cycle fine.

If your float switch makes a clicking noise, it's probably ok. Most of the time it's a bad control module AP3794574, clogged water solenoid, or bad water supply. Without a meter, you can feal the solenoid to see if it's vibrating, if so, you probably have a clogged screen in the solenoid.Part # AP2039343. If not, you will need a meter to verify a bad control module.
