I have a Kenmore bottom freezer refrigerator unit that is 16mo old. I opened the door to the fridge and it was WARM inside! Expecting the worst for the freezer, I was surprised to see that it was still frozen and cold. I called my local repair man and he told me that the unit was a LG with Kenmore decals and that he was not familiar with these units. He narrowed it down to the fan or the control board. He is afraid to guess and change one or the other because the parts are not returnable. There is little to no cold air coming from the freezer into the refrigerator. Prior to calling the repair man, I unplugged the unit for 12 hours to allow the unit to defrost (thinking this was the problem). After 12 hrs, I re-plugged the unit and no change. Freezer still cold and fridge still warm. I have repair skills and fluke meters. Can anyone help me trouble shoot to see which part is faulty.
