I have a clunking noise in my dryer. I have repaced the front drum support and glides, but I still have the noise. I disconnected the belt and spun drum by hand and have no noise. The idler pully is in good shape. Thank you for your help. p.s. not exactly shure on the age of the dryer.

Pull the front panel off and check the blower wheel, might be broken or loose.

There is a little play there. Should that be a tight fit?

Yes, just tighten the 3/8 screw.

Put the belt back on the drum and motor. Spin the drum by hand again. Check and see if the noise returns if it does. It is either the belt, motor pulley or the drum.
