GE Refrigerator/ Old style Ice Maker. I ahve replaced the water valve and selenoid. Water to the door. Ice maker still not working. When front control panel activated for water I get 130V at the selenoid. When the arm from the Ice amker calls for water I do not get voltage at the selenoid. Where do I check this next?

What is the complete model number of the refrigerator?

Which solenoid did you replace? What is not working: the ice maker or the ice dispenser?

Gene,

The only model number I have is TFX25CR. I know that is not complete but is all I can find. I replaced the water valve kit at the bottom rear of the unit where the water line connects. (entire unit). I also replaced the entire ice maker with a universal GE replacement part. Still no ice. I did test the electrical connections on the water valve and found that when I push the door control for water that I have a 130v on the selenoid of the replaced water valve. However I have no voltage on the other selenoid which I believe controls the ice maker portion. I have tested with the control arm of the ice maker in all positions. You can hear it trying from time to time but there is no water flowing into the ice maker. Not sure where to go from here.

Pete

Pete,

Make sure the water feeding tube into the ice maker is not frozen or blocked.

Swap the wires on the water valve. Push the ice cube release on the dispenser and see if the ice maker got water.

Post the results.

Gene.
