Our Kenmore Refrigerator is leaking water from the Cold Control Defrost Timer/Automatic Defrost Control Housing. I have adjusted the temperature in both the freezer and fridge but it is still occurring. Any suggestions?

Pull freezer back panel. You will find the drain frozen. I use a turkey baster and hot water to fix this, I also wrap a heavy gauge wire around the defrost heater and down the drain to fix this.

We have pulled the panel off and the drain was not frozen. Thanks for the suggestion.

"Our Kenmore Refrigerator is leaking water from the Cold Control Defrost Timer/Automatic Defrost Control Housing." I have been having this same problem with our 6 year old Kenmore Top Mount. I have had repairmen out twice. Both times there was a solid layer of ice in the defrost drain pan. Both times they pour hot water down the drain line (?) to clear it out - apparently something had gotten in and clogged it?? This time around I shut the refrigerator off and defrosted it. I took off the back panel inside the freezer and found the drain hole. The last repairman left a piece of aluminum wire in the drain hole - to prevent future clogs, I think. Anyway, why does the drain hole keep freezing up?? The last occurence was just about a year ago.
