I know that the double element replaced the single element, but I am not sure it will fit. It is larger than the one I am replacing. Is there some advice you can give me. Thanks.

I will go you just may have to twist and turn it a little. I recommend plugging in the wires first because it will be hard to do afterward. Read the directions you may have to use the wire extender provided with the heater. Refrigerator repair guide
