I have a stacked Maytag washer/dryer combo. When you set the water temperature to cold the washer works perfect. When the water is set to warm or hot the washer will over fill and overflow. I guess that I need to replace the load size selector switch or the water temperature switch but I am not sure .
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks

It could be the temp selection switch, or the hot water valve can be sticking in the open position. While it is filling on hot, turn it off and see if the water keeps coming. If so the valve is the problem, if not it is more likely the water selection switch.

I could not figure out why the water height switch would have a problem with warm/hot but not cold.
