4 year old gas oven (Amana ACS3350) has intermittent problems of delayed start with noticable gas smell. I have read a similar thread on the same problem and oven, but with no gas smell. A new ignitor was the solution. Is this also the likely solution for my repair, or does the gas smell suggest something different?

If it smells gas only when you try to use the oven, then most likely the problem is a bad oven igniter. The igniter sold without the mounting bracket. You can use the old one or you can buy it separate.

- The part number for the oven bake igniter is AP172397

- The part number for the mounting bracket is AP174418

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Amana range Model ACS3350AB

Good luck.
Gene.
