My elements are shot, I need to replace the 8 inch and 6 inch. I have found a 4 turn 8 inch that is 2100 watt. I see that the original element is a 2500 watt. can I replace the 8 inch element with the 4 turn 2100 watt element? The 6 inch is a 3 turn element, and the original is a 4 turn element 1500 watt. I'm assuming that the 3 turn 6 inch is rated less than 1500. They look like they will fit my stove. they are made by Frigidare. Can I replace with the lower wattage elements?

Why not use the correct elements?
What you have to match up are the male ends on the elements so they fit/connect correctly into the element's receiver.
Also how the element supports itself on the drip tray can be important.
