The timer on the dryer runs and the drum will spin freely by hand. However, I have no motor activity with the dryer on. My wife reports a burning smell while she was doing a load. Is it just the motor or is there something else to consider?

You might have a bad motor, pull the small back panel, make a diagram of how the belt is routed, remove belt and check for bad motor bearings.Motor part # AP4038328
