Cannot get this washer to spin or agitate. After much searching I came to one common answer...The lid switch. I tried bypassing/jumping the lid switch to see if this was the problem but, no luck. Washer drains and fills fine. I cannot her a timer switch between drain and spin cycles and this model has a circuit board behind the mode select knob. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm a novice at best when it comes to washers. Thanks

With the front panel off look to the right of the tub at the top, you should see wires covered with tape. Remove the tape and you should see a red and white wire and on that wire there is a fuse. This is probably your problem the only thing is that you have to cut the wires to test it, be sure to unplug it before doing so. You can test it with an ohmmeter or you can by-pass it but I do not recommend leaving it by-passed this is only for testing. HydroWave GE Washer Repair Guide

I got it fixed finally. The retaining nut for the inner tub had come loose. The eratic and violent shaking during the spin cycle caused the computer to go into protective mode and shutdown. Once I figured out how to reset the fault in the computer I could diag. the problem with the tub. Problem fixed. Thank You for your reply:)
