I have a Kirkland Signature by Whirlpool washer model SAWS800JQ1 that drains but it will not spin or fully agitates. If the basket is spined manually the washer will pick up speed but will stop at times. I have taken most of it apart but cannot see where the problem is. Please help.

Remove the washer cabinet and check the motor drive coupling (#13 on the diagram). The instructions are attached. - The motor coupling Part number: AP3963893

Thanks I will try that. What would cause the water to drain but the basket not to spin or agitate?

The motor has a double shaft. The pump is mounted on one side and the transmission is connected to the shaft on the other side through the motor coupling.

I understood it does spin if you force it manually. What does it do when it should agitate? BTW, I did not recommend to replace the coupler. I just advice to check it. Gene.
