HELP! I need to know how to remove the Retainer from the agitator/cam-drive. What tool do I use? How do I do it? The normal bolt using 7/16 drive is on different models. The cam drive is right below the cap and connected to the lower agitator by a two way bolt. Do I need a special tool to remove the cam or is it something simple? PLEASE HELP!

You have to use a 1/2" socket wrench extension to remove the retainer.

- The agitator cam reapir kit Part number: AP3094544

You are the best Gene! It is that simple; now I just have to find a 1/2" extension to use. I thought that would do it but I was not sure...wanted confirmation before I broke something. I am also perplexed that I could not find this particular video. I have looking at videos for two hours! UGH! But you made it happen! Thanks Gene!!! Again, now I have to see if I have and extention.

Hello,

This retainer made of plastic. Probably the thread is broken. I would try to drill it out.

Were you able to fix the original problem?
