Out of the blue, the cleaning light started blinking along with the "cook time" function light. Checked the latch lock, it was not locked. Turned off power from circuit breaker, turned back on, and "oven on" light continues to blink ("clean" light now off). Oven will not heat. What could be the problem? Thanks!

Hi Gene, I did not see a control board "part" in the link you sent me. Is it called something else? And if the clock, timer, and the other buttons on the push pad (is this the control board?) work, would this still be the control board? Are there any other possibilities before we order a part and take our oven apart? Sensors? Baking elements? Thanks so much! Originally Posted by: Gene

GE called the control board for this model "electronic control" and it's shown as #16 on the diagram. I do not see how the oven sensor or the Bake element could be connected to a blinking clean light or cook time light as well as an oven "on" light. On the other side the remote diagnostic is pretty hard and nobody can guarantee it. Gene.

Hi again Gene, Looking at the oven part that we need (AP2632445 Control board), it looks like there has been an upgrade to that board for our oven model. The wiring will be different. I don't think there will be wiring instructions that come with it. Can you please tell me if I will be able to reconnect the current wires from the old board to this newer board without getting a technician? Will I be able to connect these same wires with the same end connectors to the new board without adjustment to the wiring connectors (just different placement of the wires?) ?? (On the website, there is not a picture of the back of the board, but I have been told that it is a newer version.) Thanks again! Originally Posted by: rpbluhm Hi Gene, I did not see a control board "part" in the link you sent me. Is it called something else? Sorry for the delay.
It is a good question and I do not have a straight answer. I'm afraid you are right and there is no installation instructions for this part. I believe if you would be careful and do one thing at a time - you can do it. If you have the wiring diagram for the range - it might help too.
Gene.
