LINK > Jenn-Air W130 Broil Element If just one of those coils is not heating and element failure is not the cause (since a brand new one works the same), there could be a problem in the wiring leading to that side of the element or maybe in the control that powers it. The exterior 'skin' of the element had blistered and turned gray. The replacement unit will not heat on the right hand portion of the element, the same position that originally failed. all other functions work well i.e. clock, lights, timers, oven and 75% of the elements required for the cleaning cycle. Where and how do I proceed?

I would imagine checking the wiring for that side of the element would be a good place. Next might be following that wiring back to the control to see if there's anything in that circuit which could be responsible for stopping the power (and/or checking the appliance's wiring diagram).
