Check if the noise is coming from the water valve under the sink when the dishwasher is filling with water. Very possible a vibrating washer.

Or it also could be the pump out pump. Is you pull off the kick panel in front you can see and even touch the discharge pump. Its on the left front side . When its making this noise put a little pressure on the pump. If noise stops then its your pump.

The noise doesn't occur during the fill cycle. Seems to be only when discharging water. The machine is only 14 mo. old. I suspect the noise is coming from the pump, probably something stuck, but I don't know how to fix. Do I get at the pump from inside or underneath the machine?

If the dishwasher is only 14 months old then it's still under the manufacturer warranty.
Do not do anything and call the Bosch.
