Replaced Ice maker with new unit. Ice cubes only fill back half of try and they are hollow in the middle. Replaced fill valve on back of unit with a new one, checked water flow from supply line and it is ok. Changed ice maker with another new unit figuring it is defective. All parts look good. Tried to adjust water flow screw on icemaker and that did not work either. Line does not look kinked. Pressure from main line is adequate. All things look good. Problem started with original ice maker that was in freezer and I am now on my 3rd replacement unit. Water was shut off for the winter but all lines look like they are bled. Please let me know. Thanks

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze and block the tube. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.
A strainer before the inlet valve can also get stopped up restricting flow.
