Your timer knob should come off by pushing it in and turning counterclockwise. This will expose the screws that hold it on. Good luck, let us know if this does not do it.

Underneath is a clip. Slide it off the shaft. The knob is spring loaded, don't loose the spring. Pull the pointer straight up and off. Underneath are some screws. See this diagram.
